I thought that these dolls would be around all year long here in Merida...every time I come here (sometime between Easter and the end of August)I buy loads of them to distribute to my troubled friends. So, I was amazed to find out that there aren't any at this time of the year. These Dolls are a seasonal item that only show up during Easter, Summer, around Dia de Los Muertos and then before Christmas.
The easy guide to Mérida
This blog is linked to my main research blog http://bemicelu.blogspot.com/ The bits of information about Merida blogged here are little scraps that I would like to have known when I started coming here. Hopefully this will help future visitors. There is no set structure on this. I will blog anything I think is useful and I am not endorsing anybody or anything at all.

Why am I doing this?
It just occurred to me that it would be probably useful if I started sharing some information about how to get around in Merida.
In fact, I have been a regular visitor since 2005 and Yucatan is now the 4th place in the world where I have spent more time.
Thus, this blog, which is linked to my main research blog BEMICELU, aims to compile useful information about the beautiful town of Mérida and its surroundings.
